The American Economic Liberties Project is a left-leaning nonprofit advocacy and policy research organization funded largely by major progressive foundations, including groups backed by George Soros and Pierre Omidyar. It focuses on antitrust enforcement, breaking up corporate monopolies, and corporate accountability. Since the start of Trump's second term in 2025, it has been broadly critical, releasing reports characterizing administration policies as benefiting wealthy insiders at the expense of working families.
