FactCheck.org is a nonprofit political fact-checking project run by the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania, funded chiefly through the Annenberg Foundation endowment and reader donations. Independent media raters place it from center to lean-left, with AllSides citing a tendency to fact-check Republican figures more frequently and draw on left-leaning sources. Since Trump's second term began in January 2025, its coverage has been broadly critical, routinely finding inaccuracies in administration claims on jobs, immigration, drug prices, and legislation.
