Background

Land for Tomorrow was formed as a coalition to champion public funding for North Carolina's land and water conservation trust funds: the N.C. Land and Water Fund, the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF), and the Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund (ADFPTF). The coalition grew to represent more than 20 statewide conservation organizations united around a common legislative goal. Its website (land4tomorrow.org) serves primarily as a resource for lawmakers and citizens about the value of these trust funds. The coalition publishes press releases, 'In the News' roundups of favorable media coverage, and blog posts — all in direct support of its advocacy objectives. It is based in Raleigh, N.C.
