Pravda
Russian communist party organ
This Pravda is the newspaper of Russia's Communist Party (CPRF). It takes a left-nationalist, Soviet-nostalgic line that is broadly aligned with the Russian government on Ukraine and the West. I could not find a systematic study of its recent coverage of the Trump administration. Its stance is therefore best described as mixed: wary of U.S. power and NATO, but open to any U.S.-Russia rapprochement.
Owned byPublished by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF). The CPRF acquired the paper after the 1996 split from the Pravda International company, which a Greek investor had bought in 1992. Other outlets share the name but are separate, including the privately owned Pravda.ru, Ukrainska Pravda, Slovakia's Pravda, and the Moscow-based 'Pravda network' of pro-Kremlin sites.
