Venezuelan state-backed, Latin American left
teleSUR is a Caracas-based TV and online network owned mainly by the Venezuelan state, with backing from other leftist governments in Latin America. Its coverage reflects an anti-imperialist, left-wing view and has often carried Venezuelan officials' statements. It has been broadly critical of the Trump administration, especially its military action against Venezuela in January 2026. Its current tone is inferred from limited recent evidence, and Venezuela's political situation has shifted since Maduro's capture.
