Reason Foundation

The Reason Foundation is an American libertarian think tank and the publisher of Reason magazine and reason.com. It is funded primarily by conservative- and libertarian-leaning private foundations, including Koch-linked groups, with no government support. Under Trump's second term, its coverage has been critical of tariffs, immigration enforcement, and DOGE's actual record, while selectively supportive of deregulatory goals — a posture consistent with its libertarian orientation rather than partisan alignment.
